Somewhere around the turn of the century, I was asked to sing with these 4 very cool women at a retreat. Turns out we got along famously, we felt such a close bond, and
we felt His presence so strongly when we sang His music that we felt He wanted us to share it with more people. We could form a band, but we needed a bass player.
A decision was made that I would play the bass-someone who had never played any kind of guitar. I sort of laughed it off as a misplaced idea.
That is until Christmas morning when there was a bass from my husband waiting for me under the tree. I didn't know whether to thank him or play
Pete Townsend and break the thing over his head. Well, to make a long story short, I took some lessons, and my band mates seem to have a Jesus-like love
for me despite my shortcomings. I couldnŐt be happier with the results, because I love them so much and I am having a blast! I can't wait to get to Heaven
and see what my dad, Oxford-educated, internationally known, organist-choirmaster-carilloneur Dr. Einecke has to say about all this...
My husband, Dirk, as well as being my bass supplier, is also our recording technician, producer, sound man, roadie, encourager, media guy, and web site designer.
You can probably figure out how integral he is to this band. I am grateful to have him in my life. He is a talented musician in his own rite, not to mention his great hair!
My son, Daniel, is my joy. I was terrified to become a parent, but the Lord has blessed me with a smart, healthy, funny, quirky boy, who brings me smiles every day.
Our chocolate lab, Flobie, loves me with her whole heart, and sometimes that's just what the doctor ordered. Other than being a wife and mother, I work full
time as a clerical supervisor, strive to be a sprint triathlete, volunteer for a community basketball event, and love to spend time with my girlfriends.
The Way, Hope and Light has brought me to a place nothing short of miraculous because He loves me enough to give His life for mine. Won't you join me on a
walk through the Door of Hope so He can be your Peace as well?
Love, Heidi
